Have you gone through a divorce and found that everyone around you wants you to just move on, while some part of you knows there is something deeper here still asking to be understood?

This is one of the most tender places I get to sit with in my work. Divorce is not only the ending of a marriage. It is very often the surfacing of a pattern that has been running since long before you ever met your former partner, one your soul chose this relationship to finally bring into the light.

Traditional therapy can help you process what happened, name your grief, and rebuild your daily life. That support matters, and I never ask a client to choose one path over the other. But Spiritual Psychology, the discipline I trained in at the University of Santa Monica, asks a different question. It does not stop at what went wrong in the marriage. It asks what this marriage was here to teach you, and what pattern in you it brought all the way to the surface so it could finally be healed.

In my own life, my divorce was not a rupture I simply survived. It was the completion of a pattern I had been carrying since childhood, a rejection pattern with my father that shaped how I related to men long before I ever said I do. That early wound showed up in my marriage as a role reversal I did not consciously choose, and it took going to the root of that pattern, not just understanding it intellectually, to actually release it. Once I did the deeper work, the marriage had done what it came to do. Completing it consciously, rather than staying in it out of fear or staying angry once it ended, was part of my own spiritual curriculum.

This is what I offer clients, in my work as a spiritual life coach, who come to me during or after a divorce. If you notice this same pattern showing up no matter who you are with, here is how Spiritual Psychology helps heal relationship patterns at the root. We do not only look at what your former partner did or did not do. We get curious about what your soul chose this marriage to bring forward in you, whether that is an old rejection pattern, a fear of abandonment, a pattern of over giving, or an exiled part of yourself that first learned to shrink or distrust long before this relationship began. Grief is welcome in this work. So is anger. But underneath both is usually a pattern ready to be seen, and once you see it clearly, you can complete this chapter as a conscious act, not just something that happened to you.

If you are moving through a divorce and you can feel there is a deeper pattern asking to be understood, not just a wound asking to be managed, this may be the missing piece. And if you are also looking for practical, on the ground support, here is what actually helps you heal during a divorce. Book your free soul aligned call and let's discover what your own spiritual curriculum has been asking of you.
