How to Grow Your Inner Light
Aug 31, 2026
Have you ever felt it. A dimming. A quiet sense that something in you used to shine brighter and somewhere along the way, without quite noticing when, the light got covered over.
Is your inner light something you have to build from nothing, or is it something you already carry, waiting to be remembered.
I ask because most of the women I sit with in session are not actually missing their light. They are missing daily contact with it. Life gets loud. Old patterns get loud. The wounding we carried from childhood, from relationships, from every place we learned to shrink or perform or protect ourselves, gets loud. And underneath all of it, the light is still there. It always was.
Growing your inner light is not about becoming someone new. It is about clearing the noise enough that who you actually are, your authentic self, gets to lead again.
Prayer has been a lifelong practice for me. Long before I had language for any of this, I was already praying, already reaching for something greater than what I could see in front of me. Those who know me well will tell you there is something different in the way I pray, especially when I am praying for another person or for a circumstance someone is moving through. It has never felt like a skill I picked up so much as a gift I was given, and one of my greatest joys is helping people attune to deeper and deeper levels of prayer themselves.
One of the deepest tools I was given for this work came out of my training in Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica. It is a practice called calling in the light, and it has become part of my own daily life and part of what I teach every client I work with.
Calling in the light is not complicated and it is not about doing more. It is a specific way of praying, a way of consciously welcoming light into your day before the patterns get a chance to run the show. You pause. You call the light in, on purpose, and you ask it to take the lead in your consciousness. Not your fear. Not your old programming. Not the parts of you still operating from a wound that formed decades ago. The light.
Done daily, this practice starts to shift something real. It activates deeper levels of healing and consciousness than we can access through willpower alone. It softens the grip of old trauma. It gives the parts of you that have been exiled, the parts you learned to hide or silence, a way back into wholeness. And slowly, it lets go of what is no longer serving you, not because you forced it out, but because you made room for something greater to lead instead.
This is the heart of what I teach in session. Not a technique to perform once and forget, but a daily returning. A daily welcoming. Your light was never something you had to grow from nothing. It was only ever waiting for you to call it back in.
If this is speaking to something in you, I would love to hold space for you. Click here to book a session with me and let's talk about what welcoming the light back in could look like in your life.
