How Did My Own Search for Truth Begin?

I have lived my life seeking truth and light.

I have had lots of deep family karma to heal in this lifetime. We call this Spiritual Curriculum.

I fell in love with Egypt and the Ankh symbol young in my life. The Ankh is a symbol which means the key of life, or the key of the Nile, and is representative of eternal life in Ancient Egypt.

This symbol of eternal life resonated so deeply in my soul as a young girl at the ripe age of 15.

I grew up in a very Christian household. When I was 15 a parent figure took me to church. I was wearing a small Ankh around my neck. She ripped it off my neck and told me I was to never wear this symbol again. This was her FEAR. Not mine.

It took me many years to recover from the shame of not understanding her FEAR PROJECTION and violation of my spiritual beliefs.

It lit my internal fire to seek even more, regardless of her "no."

Can Someone Else's Fear Block Your Spiritual Path?

Another person's fear can leave a mark. When someone we love shames our beliefs, our curiosity or our connection to Spirit, we can carry that shame for years. We may hide what we believe. We may stop trusting our own knowing. We may feel like our spirituality is something to keep small and quiet.

But their fear is not the truth about you. In Spiritual Psychology we learn to see this kind of experience as curriculum. The pain was real. And the invitation is to reclaim what was taken, not from them, but from inside yourself.

How Do You Strengthen Your Relationship With Spirit in Your Body?

Your body is not separate from your spirituality. It is the temple where Spirit lives in you. Many of us were taught to look for God outside ourselves, in a building, a book or a person with authority. Coming home means finding that connection within.

Start by slowing down. Place a hand on your heart or your belly and breathe. Ask Spirit to be with you, right here, in your body. Notice what you feel.

Honor the symbols, practices and places that light you up, even if others do not understand them. Your soul knows what speaks to it.
